Abstract

This study examines the impact of gender and education on mental health and academic stress among students. A sample of 300 students (169 females and 131 males) from 11th and 12th grades participated in the study. The results revealed significant gender differences in students' perceptions of their school environment and coping strategies, with females reporting more positive perceptions and males engaging more in behavioral avoidance strategies. Additionally, the study found significant differences between 11th and 12th-grade students in their perceptions of the school environment and academic stress, with 12th-grade students experiencing higher levels of stress. The findings highlight the need for tailored interventions that address the unique needs of males and females, as well as students at different stages of their education, to promote academic and mental well-being.
