Abstract

According to Moore, moral questions are often asked in two meanings, such as - 'What is a person's duty in these circumstances?' or "Is it right to do this?" or what should we strive for? Analysis of these questions is possible but any of them can be answered only by keeping in mind 'good in itself' and causal judgment - "A correct answer to any of them involves both judgements of what is good in itself and casual judgements" If we pay attention to intrinsic values and actions in the context of right and duty, this will become clear. If it is said that this action is the best, it means that this action along with its consequences has more intrinsic value than other actions.

Abstract in Hindi Language:

मूर के अनुसार नैतिक प्रश्न प्रायः द्वियर्थी रूप में पूछे जाते है यथा- ’इन परिस्थितियों में एक व्यक्ति का कत्र्तव्य क्या है?”  अथवा ”क्या ऐसा करना उचित है?” अथवा हमें किस चीज के लिए प्रयत्न करना चाहिए? इन प्रश्नों का विश्लेषण संभव है परन्तु इनमें किसी का भी उत्तर ’स्वतःशुभ’ तथा कारणात्मक निर्णय को ध्यान में रखकर ही दिया जा सकता है- “इनमें से किसी भी प्रश्न का सही उत्तर देने में यह निर्णय शामिल है कि क्या अपने आप में अच्छा है और क्या आकस्मिक निर्णय है।” अधिकार तथा कत्र्तव्य के संदर्भ में यदि आंतरिक मूल्यों तथा कर्मों पर ध्यान दिया जाये तो यह बात स्पष्ट हो जाएगी। यदि यह कहा जाय कि यह कर्म सर्वोत्तम है, तो इसका अर्थ है कि यह कर्म अपने परिणामों के साथ अन्य कर्मों की अपेक्षा अधिक आंतरिक मूल्य धारण करता है।
