Abstract

The present research paper examines the prose literature of Geetashree, a prominent writer of the post-1960 literary era. The paper attempts to highlight the significance of Geetashree's creative work and the tendencies in her literary perspective. The writing of prose in Geetashree's literature is an extremely important aspect, revealing her keen observation of the inequalities prevailing in society. The paper provides an introduction to prose literature, describing its various forms and presenting a chronological delineation of prose genres. Furthermore, it analyzes the short story and novel forms within prose literature, showcasing Geetashree's language style and her use of artistic techniques in her writings.

Abstract in Hindi Language: प्रस्तुत शोध पत्र में साठोत्तरी साहित्यकार युगीन प्रसिद्ध लेखिका गीताश्री के गद्य साहित्य का अनुशीलन किया गया है, जिसमें गीताश्री की रचनाधर्मिता के महत्व व साहित्य लेखन में उनकी लेखन दृष्टि की प्रवृत्तियों को उद्भित करने का प्रयत्न किया गया है। गीताश्री के साहित्य में गद्य साहित्य का लेखन एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य है जो उनकी रचनाशीलता को समाज में फैली विषमताओं पर एक पैनी दृष्टि की प्रवृत्ति को उजागर करता है। इस शोध पत्र में गद्य साहित्य का परिचय प्रदान करते हुए गद्य की विभिन्न विधाओं का वर्णन तथा गद्य विधा के काल अवच्छेन को प्रस्तुत किया गया है। इसके अतिरिक्त ही गद्य विधा की कहानी एवं उपन्यास विधा को विश्लेषित करते हुए गीताश्री के रचनाओं की भाषा शैली एवं शिल्प योजन प्रयोग को भी प्रदर्शित किया है।
